I found my WHY?

Oh my days! I'm so excited something has just clicked into place and I can't believe I didn't get it before.

I had been looking at this the wrong way.  I had been thinking my Why is why do I create art for other people but not going deep enough into what I believe.  For example I was saying my Why was to create art to bring happiness into peoples homes and inspire people.  

My Why is because I believe anyone can be anything they want to be and I create art that will inspire others to follow their dreams.

I believe this so strongly and always have, it started when I was  around 15years old and my dad asked me once at the dinner table.  "What are you going to do with your life?". I replied "I'm going to be a dancer". He said "You can't do that, because there isn't the work out there for the type of dance you do". (I was a disco dancer you see, with no ballet training). This however triggered me to prove him and everyone else wrong, the careers advisors, teachers, and anyone else that said it wouldn't happen.

At 17yrs old I found a job as a dancer and choreographer of a touring 70's Disco revival show, followed by catwalk dancing jobs and even dancing in night clubs for 10 years until I was 3 months pregnant with Grace and my bump started to show. 

Then I went on the teach dance.  So I did prove that you can be anything you want to be and I want everyone else to do what they want to do too.  Whether thats being a Doctor or a Dancer if its your dream then go for it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

So there you have it, that is why I create art for a living.

Follow your dreams, dream big and don't let anyone stop you or dampen your sparkle.
