Why am I doing the 100 Day Project?
Share
I thought this would be the perfect excuse to make sure I do some form of painting every day for 100 days.
It began with a message from an Instagram friend who suggested I try it out. I had seen posts before and wandered what it was all about, so I looked it up and found it began on the 13th February.
I've been trying to find my own unique style for a while and this is going to help me discover this, by experimenting and playing with different mediums. Listen, I know that not every day is going to go as planned, these are more like studies to discover what I like and don't like, what works well together and what doesn't. I'm going to share them all with you though, whether I like them or not. (Remember the highland cow that nearly got thrown away, because I didn't like it? Well thats one of my best sellers now).
It can be easy for me to fall into the trap of everything I paint needs to be good enough to sell, it's probably the inner perfectionist in me. So this is going to be a challenge to post the ones I'm not happy with, but also enjoyable to paint without the pressure of creating something that is for sale, these are my way to relax and switch off for a little part of the day. Well, try to any way, let's see how it goes.
There might be a day that I miss but I will continue the next day so please keep checking in on my Instagram for updates.
I'm painting bright and colourful ballerinas at the moment, but I will be moving on to another subject soon.
